What it does
Uses MAP-based speed-density calculations for air mass instead of relying on the MAF sensor. This changes how load is calculated and requires a suitable calibration; it is not a finished tune.
Current attachment
The attached speed_density_v1.3.amod is the later file LOAGZ shared on August 24 in response to a request for the .2 release. LOAGZ identifies it as NAMR's VB speed-density feature and expects it to work on VA. It replaces the earlier va_sd file for this imported post. On September 14, nick said CVT should work too; that is a compatibility statement, not a test report for every ROM.
Setup discussion
LOAGZ describes File → Import → Atlas Mod, then right-clicking to enable the imported feature. The same reply says the OEM calibration must have been flashed first before enabling and flashing again. Use the official flashing documentation and a compatible calibration for the full flashing procedure.
Load scaling matters
The earlier FA20 discussion specifies displacement 1.988 and load scalar 1.00. nick clarifies that 1.0 applies when load and injectors have not been manually rescaled. A different user's 0.75 example came from a different configuration and caused idle hunting/stalling in LOAGZ's setup. Do not transplant either scalar into an unrelated tune. VE corrections and validation still need to be performed for the actual setup.
