What it does
Changes the launch-control RPM setpoint using the cruise-control buttons, with the selected RPM displayed on the tachometer. The selection lasts until the next ignition cycle; Default RPM supplies the next-start setting.
Files and compatibility
Choose v4 for 2022–23 or the separate v4 2024+ file below. The author developed this on a 2023 VB and provided a separate cruise-switch mapping for 2024+. These are separate variants, not consecutive upgrades for the same car. Compatibility with every ROM is not established.
Controls
With the compatible feature installed, hold Cruise Cancel to enter adjustment mode. Cruise Accel raises and Cruise Coast lowers the setpoint in 250-RPM steps. Press Cancel again or wait approximately 4–5 seconds to exit. Min RPM and Max RPM bounds must be multiples of 250. Inspect the setpoint while stationary rather than performing a launch to check it.
Integration notes
Map switching/SI modes also use Cruise Cancel: the author says to choose a different adjustment trigger when combining them. A defroster trigger was only an example, not an included combined configuration. Early reports of default-RPM and engagement issues preceded the author's v4 correction. Launching and prolonged limiter use can damage the vehicle; this post does not supply a universally safe launch RPM.
Release provenance
The opening post's latest-version link resolves to the author's September 12 v4 release. Follow-up messages through September 14 confirm the map-switching conflict. The complete adjustment walkthrough is also in Guide Workshop for editorial review.
